Omaha Displayed Its Star Power at Conference in Los Angeles

August 13, 2025

Showing off $9 billion in new development, Visit Omaha brought main-character energy to the 2025 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in Los Angeles from Aug. 9-12. The meeting, hosted by the American Society of Associated Executives, brings together thousands of association professionals to connect, learn and explore new destinations for future events.

Attendees stopped by Omaha’s airport-inspired booth for a beer and the chance to win a Solgaard suitcase by playing the Jam-Packed Omaha Game. Many took a break in the lounge to chat with the Visit Omaha sales team and watch a video tour of Omaha’s growing convention district, airport expansion, new green spaces and upcoming streetcar line.

The Travelin’ Troll Store introduced a playful twist to this year’s booth. OMAR and OMAI, two beloved local mascots, helped tell Omaha’s story in a way that stuck. Attendees took home plush versions of the characters for their kids, pets or office desks — small reminders of a big idea: Omaha is full of charm, personality and unexpected fun.

Visit Omaha made a strong impression in Los Angeles. Among a packed field, our city delivered a standout performance as a meetings and events destination.
